Call for Applications: Crabtree-Cornell Award for Research in Sustainability and the Environment

The Crabtree-Cornell Family Fund for the Environment was established by a generous donation to the Lewis Honors College to support the dissemination and creation of knowledge about issues concerning the environment including, but not limited to, the impact of environmental change on local and global economies, social and political change, agriculture, health, food and water supplies, energy, infrastructure, and public policy. This fund will support up to three $500 awards in support of undergraduate student research in sustainability and the environment.

UK Undergraduates to Present at 20th ‘Posters at the Capitol’

Ten undergraduate researchers from the University of Kentucky have been chosen to present their research at the 2022 Posters-at-the-Capitol event on March 3 at the Kentucky state capitol in Frankfort. Now in its 20th year, this event will have more than 100 student representatives from across the state displaying the results of their research and scholarly or creative work.

Watch Live: UK Honors December Graduates

Today, the University of Kentucky honors its graduates at the December 2021 UK Commencement Ceremonies. All ceremonies will be livestreamed on the university's YouTube channel. Approximately 1,200 graduates will participate in the Commencement Ceremonies. The graduates represent 99 Kentucky counties, 40 U.S. states and 31 countries.

2 Students Selected to Speak at UK Commencement

Per University of Kentucky tradition, UK President Eli Capilouto has selected two student representatives to speak at the UK Commencement Ceremonies Friday, Dec. 17, at Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center. The two student speakers are Lewis Honors College students Peyton Schroeder and Bisimwa "Jack" Nzerhumana.

Grad, Former Refugee Shows What’s Possible at UK

Born into war conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Bisimwa “Jack” Nzerhumana had to fight to survive. This Friday, he will become the first person in his family to earn not just one, but two, college degrees at UK's December Commencement.
