Lewis Honors College to Host Deep Space Salon

The University of Kentucky Lewis Honors College will welcome Kris Kimel, founder of Humanity in Deep Space and co-founder of the commercial space company Space Tango, and space anthropologist Savannah Mandel, on Wednesday, April 6 at 4 p.m., for a conversation about deep space exploration. The event will be in-person, in the Lewis Honors College Scholars Lounge and open to the entire UK community. Mandel will join the conversation virtually.

Lewis Honors College Releases Admission Decisions

The Lewis Honors College released its admission decisions to applicants on February 25. This year’s number of applicants exceeded last year’s record, and the candidate pool was one of the most competitive to date. All applicants were carefully reviewed by multiple readers on the Lewis Honors College admission committee in the areas of application essays, unweighted GPA and high school involvement and academic rigor.
