Dean Christian Brady and Assistant Vice President for Philanthropy Don Witt are pleased to announce Angelica Prekopa as the new Director of Philanthropy for the Lewis Honors College.

Angelica will return to the University of Kentucky (UK) where she spent over five years serving the UK Office of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement in roles such as the Associate Director of Gift Receiving, a Major Gifts Officer, and the Director of Philanthropy and Alumni Affairs for the J. David Rosenberg College of Law. Most recently, Angelica was the Sayre School Director of Advancement where she successfully launched the Donn D. Hollingsworth Path to Exploration, Learning, and Opportunity Endowment Campaign and led her team to exceed fundraising goals for key initiatives such as the Day of Giving and Sayre Spectacular. Before joining UK, Angelica worked as a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Angelica graduated from UK with a bachelor's degree in economics in 2010.

Angelica enjoys working in philanthropy because "the work takes all of our most intense emotions - passion, joy, grief, gratitude - and channels them into something much bigger than one or two people. It is a privilege to facilitate hope and change while advancing the mission of the University."

Angelica will join the Lewis Honors College on July 3rd and her office will be in Lewis Hall.
