Central Kentucky Job Club releases Fall 2022 schedule

  The purpose of Job Club is to provide a positive environment for motivated job seekers to meet, connect, share and learn. Job Club is geared toward motivated professionals and those currently out of work, underemployed or seeking a career transition. 10 Wildcats chosen to study abroad on Gilman Scholarship

The Gilman Scholarship is a competitive award that supports students who have been traditionally under-represented in study abroad, including but not limited to, students with high financial need, community college students, students in under-represented fields such as the sciences and engineering, students with diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilities.

8 Students Selected as Sustainability Summer Research Fellows

Eight University of Kentucky students have been selected for the Sustainability Summer Research Fellowship program coordinated by the Office of Undergraduate Research and sponsored by the UK Student Sustainability Council and UK Sustainability.

16 Students Selected for Inaugural CURE Fellowship Program

The Office of Undergraduate Research is honored to announce that 16 undergraduates have been selected for the 2022 Commonwealth Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) Fellowship program.

NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program Recognizes 16 UK Students, Alums

As part of the five-year fellowship, NSF Fellows receive a three-year annual stipend of $34,000 along with a $12,000 cost of education allowance for tuition and fees for a research-based master's or doctoral degree in a STEM (science, technology, engineering or mathematics) field.

Inaugural Award Honors 6 Excellent Undergraduate Research Ambassadors

As Research Ambassadors, the award winners spent the academic year promoting undergraduate research involvement and opportunities through student outreach and program events, such as tabling, information sessions, student workshops, speaking engagements, class and student organization presentations, and OUR sponsored events including the 5-Minute Fast Track Competition and Showcase of Undergraduate Scholars.

UK’s Kotomi Yokokura Recognized as 2022-23 Newman Civic Fellow

Kotomi Yokokura, a student in the College of Social Work at the University of Kentucky, has been recognized as the 2022-23 Newman Civic Fellow. Sponsored by Campus Compact, the fellowship recognizes students who engage in collaborative campus and community action to create social change, as well as address inequality and political polarization through civic engagement.
