UK's Office of Nationally Competitive Awards has announced that doctoral students Calah Ford and Lydia Hager and 2018 graduate Aaron Mueller have been selected to receive government-funded National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships. Recent UK modern and classical languages/Chinese studies and international studies graduate Bridget Nicholas has been selected for a fellowship from the Princeton in Asia program. As part of the program, Nicholas will serve with China's Dunhuang Academy, which curates the Mogao grottoes and other cultural sites in the region.

Lewis Honors College grad Esias Bedingar received the Diachun award for outstanding research talent in the form of his independent project and for holding high promise for further professional development in graduate school.
