Upper-Level Admission to the Lewis Honors College

The Lewis Honors College at the University of Kentucky welcomes applications for Upper-Level Admission (ULA). Membership in the Honors College provides students with enhanced opportunities to deeply explore their chosen field of study. Students will also have access to expanded course offerings, faculty mentorship, Honors advising, and career support through the Center for Personal Development (CPD).

Decisions and Important Dates

Admission decisions will be made by a committee of Honors faculty and staff. Students will be evaluated on their college transcript and the quality of their writing samples.

All students wishing to be admitted to the Lewis Honors College for Fall 2027 should complete their application materials no later than 5 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, May 12, 2027.

Applications will be available in March.

I appreciate the diversity in Honors course choices, as well as the flexibility. Every semester there are a wide variety of Honors courses making it easy to find new interests and learn new things. I also appreciate how helpful the Honors faculty and staff are. They work hard to ensure a positive educational experience for the students.
