The Lewis Honors College, the Gatton College of Business and Economics, and the College of Arts & Sciences Appalachian Center and Appalachian Studies Program are hosting Dr. Seth D. Kaplan, a leading expert on fragile states and a consultant to governments and NGOs worldwide. In his bestselling book, Fragile Neighborhoods, he offers a bold new vision for addressing social decline in America, one zip code at a time, by revitalizing our local institutions.

Following Dr. Kaplan's remarks will be a panel discussion moderated by UK MBA/JD alumna Ariana Strider. The panelists include:
